If art is your passion it may be time to turn it into your profession by earning a degree in graphic design at Kaplan University. Our program is designed to nurture your talent while helping you develop the technical skills required to pursue a career as a professional graphic designer.

Our graphic design curriculum combines general education courses, graphic design courses, and electives that allow you to tailor the program to enhance your skills and marketability. Coursework will focus on:

• Marketing and advertising
• Presentation skills
• Typography, color, and design layout
• Web design and animation
• Design business management
• Building a portfolio of your work

Prior to graduation, you will be required to complete a graphic design externship to gain on-the-job experience in a real-world work environment.

Upon successful completion of the program, you will be awarded an Associate of Applied Science in Graphic Design and may pursue entry-level positions in advertising, television, marketing, journalism, illustration, web design, multimedia, and other industries.
